PIERCE COUNTY

CHILD ADVOCATE PROGRAM

The Child Advocate Program
 of Pierce County

Our employees are called Guardians ad litem (GALs), and our volunteers are:

Court Appointed Advocates (CAAs)

Our Coordinators (formerly "CASA" Coordinators) are now called:

Advocate Supervisors

Thank you for visiting us, and please reach out to our program if you have questions.

KID Connect Pierce County
is a 501(c)3 that supports the work of the Child Advocate Program. Since we are not part of the court system, we can provide support and grants to the program and the families we serve where the CA Program has restrictions.

What are Court Appointed Advocates?

Court Appointed Advocates are volunteers who devote their energies to helping defend the interests of children who have been neglected or abused in Pierce County, WA. To become a Court Appointed Advocate, a volunteer must be over the age of 21, pass a background check, and be selected and trained by the Child Advocate Program of Pierce County.

Are you interested in becoming an Advocate for a child in foster care, or know someone who'd make a great Advocate?

Interested people can call Volunteer Director Clarissa Fletcher at (253) 798-3837,
